6.3 Secure Relay Infrastructure

The backbone of private communication and stealth transactions.

The Privacy Mesh & Secure Relay Network underpins VeilNet’s ability to deliver total digital invisibility. It operates as a distributed, multi-hop routing layer that anonymizes traffic and ensures no single relay can link sender to receiver.

  • Multi-Hop Routing: Transactions and session traffic are split and relayed across multiple independent nodes, obfuscating origin and destination.

  • Guardian Nodes: Operated by stakers (Section 5.5.3), these nodes form the backbone of the relay network, incentivized to maintain security and uptime.

  • Resilience & Redundancy: With global points of presence (POPs), the relay layer guarantees low-latency routing and uninterrupted reliability, even under network stress.

  • Encrypted Channels: All data between relays is end-to-end encrypted, ensuring no node or adversary can intercept sensitive information.

This infrastructure transforms VeilNet into a trustless privacy network, where anonymity is enforced at the protocol level.
