Scaling anonymity through distributed global coverage.
To maximize resilience and performance, VeilNet operates Points of Presence (POPs) across strategic geographic hubs. These POPs function as distributed relay nodes, ensuring:
Redundancy: No single region’s downtime compromises the network.
Censorship Resistance: Distributed POPs make it extremely difficult for governments or ISPs to block the network.
Decentralization: Over time, POPs will expand beyond VeilNet-operated relays into community-run nodes, incentivized by contribution rewards.
Global expansion not only improves speed (by keeping relays closer to users) but also strengthens the privacy mesh against targeted surveillance campaigns.
